I have to get the shorts and tights from Kohl's to pull off my new Christmas outfit, but this was the look for the day:
Since I have green eyes, I use purple a lot. This particular look was created by using an eye shadow kit from the Sally store, eyeliner by Wet N Wild, liquid eyeliner by Hard Candy, and mascara for green eyes from Almay. I used baby powder on my lashes to make them thicker/longer looking and corn starch for the finishing powder. It makes my makeup last so long!
I normally wear gloss, but I switched up to a lipstick that came in a makeup bag my dad's ex gave to me for Christmas...
I recently got my hair dyed; I wanted ruby red but I guess my hair was too blond for it to take to a darker hue. To make the waves, I used a crimper and Not Your Mother's Sea Salt Spray. I love the spray, it works on your hair whether it's pre-crimped or not.
I always get compliments on those shoes, would you believe they're from Avon? Most people don't. O.o Slap on a pair of skinny jeans, a tank underneath (not exactly the same color) and a sweater. Done! Comfy and cute...except for the shoes. :D

Melted Crayon Art
This is my first attempt at melted crayon art, don't judge too harshly. It was extremely messy, but I tried to make it that sepia tone on one side and the rainbow on the other side. It proved to be harder than I thought...
Sorry the picture is kinda crappy, I didn't get up close with it. The canvas is also taped where Dorothy is cause it ripped when I was moving to my new apartment. The crayon really did get all over the place, I recommend doing this project on a surface covered in newspaper or outside. It's great to do with the kids though!

Gingerbread Men
My friends and I made some yummy, tiny, and a little horrorific gingerbread men. Here are some pictures:
Megan's business gingerbread men. One has a mustache, one has a tie. They're very professional.
My cannibal gingerbread man. The horror!

Did you vote?!
I sure hope you did! So excited to watch TV again. Haha! Will be making the itty bitty gingerbread army today sometime in celebration...and also because I will be starting a new diet. Then you can check out how it's going from time to time. I'll be trying the famous 17 Day Diet, if you'd like to know how it works and if it works.

King Ranch Chicken
Looks delicious, no? It was! Much melty cheeses. Don't understand why Ranch is in the title, as it is not present in the actual dish. It is, however, just a little spicy. I would say it is something someone with a sensitive palette could handle. Mine turned out a little soupy, so I would try perhaps half of the cans of soup. It also came out a little brown at the top, as you can see, but that's just because my stove is a higher watt than the recipe probably expects. Here's the recipe if you'd like to give it a whirl:
3 large chicken breasts, cooked
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 onion, chopped (or minced)
1 can Rotel tomatoes (mine had chiles in it)
1 jar Cheez Wiz (8 oz.)
Dash of Tobasco
Dash of Worcestershire
salt and pepper
Crushed tortilla chips
8 oz. Cheddar
4 oz. Mozzarella
Dice the cooked chicken breasts. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a saucepan over medium heat, mix the soups, onion, tomatoes, Cheez Wiz, Tobasco, and Worcestershire until blended. Add salt and pepper to taste. Line the bottom of a casserole dish with crushed tortilla chips. Place the chicken on top and pour over half of the mixture. Add a layer of half the Cheddar. Repeat the process, topping with Cheddar and Mozzarella. Bake for 35-45 minutes, until bubbly.

50 Shades of Grey and Hotel Transylvania Review
More like a ton of pages of not-so-greatly-written crap. It seems like the words she uses are a distraction from the fact that this book is meant for adults, but written like it's for teenagers. I'm honestly waiting for the part where they get into the kinky. If there weren't so much hype behind this so called "novel", I would have lost interest a long time ago. And I can't help but notice how many references there are to Twilight. All in all, I'm really disappointed. Not sure if I'm going to buy the next two, all depends on how the ending is. For some reason, I'm still intrigued, and I think it's only because I'm trying to figure out why everyone thinks it's so amazing...and they're going to make a movie out of this? I hope it's more entertaining...
On the other hand, Hotel Transylvania was great! I went in expecting it to be sub-par, but it was actually really funny. The only complaints I have is that the main story line has been slightly over used and the animation looked kind of cheap (which is probably the reason why I didn't think it would be that good). The characters were fun and the love the father had for his daughter, though overprotective, was adorable. Great family movie!

Crackle Nails
These are (one of many different variations) my crackle nails. This time I used pink-the brand name is Pure Ice, $2 from Wal-Mart-and black mosaic from Avon. Pretty, no? :) The middle and ring finger got a little funky cause I didn't shake the polish all the way. Oops!
